Suicide Rate up: Baby Boomers

Study shows:Baby-Boomers are in despair
The Statistics from 2008 are coming in worldwide on suicide and the numbers are not good. According to The Johns Hopkins Bloomberg School of Public Health found that the largest annual rise in suicide was in white middle-aged women.
There is a growing despair that has been slowly affecting the world and health officials are only now beginning to recognize the magnitude of the problem. The world is now global, we are all connected and the affects of wars, terrorism and failing economics have left many of us depleted.
Those in the 40-60 year old range have seen so much and often feel that they can take no more. Suicide is also increasing amongst teens with 2007 breaking a 15 year record.
The world is in a very unstable place; we are living in uncertain times, we must learn to see those who are in pain. We have to take a closer look at family members, friend and yes..even strangers who do not look like they are doing well.
We owe it to others and ourselves to be on our own high alert. This is a high alert to the pain that others are experiencing. We do not all handle the world the same way and many are not doing so well, they are giving up. The increase in suicides are not just statistics, they are the mirror images of the despairs that are increasing worldwide.
Yes, you are your brothers keeper.
